We all want to return to something, be it a place, a situation, or the love of your life.
THE RETURN

So many sweet greetings, so many moving goodbyes…
and yet… so many anticipated and welcoming returns.
The return to innocence, for example, or the return to the beginning.
The return to a previous situation, or position,
or perhaps even the return to a problem,
…or to the quest for its peaceful resolution.

Such an endless list, but amid so many types of returns,
the most common and yearned for return of all,
is the return to love…
                                                …and to be loved.

Of the many types of returns,
the return for ultimate love is perhaps the most difficult to achieve…
and to really fully comprehend.
Your sense of reasoning is entirely lost,
as your heart takes over your head…
and touching the stars becomes a reality… one more time...

…especially if the specific love that was,
was a love that was true and profound.
One that resulted in changing your life entirely,
…the type that surely will not be found anywhere else
…no matter how hard you try… ever.

Such a love is worth returning back to,
for it is a particular kind of love that knows no walls,
no barriers or dimensions, of any nature.
The kind of love that was quite unique and precious in its own way.
A particular kind of love that was far more sacred than life itself.
A particular kind of sweet and harmonious love…
that was so priceless, it should never come to an absolute end.

Perhaps it is true that every beginning has to have a bitter sweet end,
the type of which isn’t fully within one’s grasp to influence or control as desired.
Perhaps it is also true that dreams do ultimately come true,
especially when they are wished for upon a bright shining star.

Even though the winds of time usher the days away into a remote and distant elusive past,
unforgettable memories of abundant delightful times, of so many wonderful moments…
still echo warmly…

…moments that you don’t wish to ever walk away from, or completely forget,
are all embraced in one’s heart and spirit,
with the eternal hope of ripping them free from their solitary confinement
which they have been imprisoned in,
and resonate them back into the reality of your world
… a world like no other…

…all it takes is to close the eyes gently,
put aside one’s solemn pride,
and drift gracefully back where you truly belong,
where you truly passionately long for to be
…with all the love and the need that have been desperately craved for
…and missed so very much…
                                          …by the heart.
