This poem reflexs the acceptance of addictions. An inspirational poem.
RETURN TO PURITY

I am addicted.  I am addicted to Coffee, Tobacco, Alcohol and to be honest, Weed too.

Constantly influenced by the effects of my crutches and what they put me through,

Yet these are some of the crutches on which i have leaned.

Today being of age, or an adult man.  I curiously look back to when I was two or three.

When my mind and body were pure purity.

My head aches when I don't get my morning cups.  When I am out of smokes I become

desperate just for one toke of someone's smokes.  I regularly get the shakes if I don't get

a drink in my system before two.  And many more before the day is through.

I have to have my morning joint to give me some focus.  As well as, An appetite to eat

something of substance.

The thought did however cross my mind, that being addicted all the time, disconnects me from

who I really am or could be in reality.  You know like my mind and body's purity.

I am sad to say however that my addictions still dominate me.  Yet I still curiously look back

to when I was two or three, to get a glimpse of what I can once again be if I return to Purity.
