a continuing epic poem
Part I: The City

legend tells of a city made to fly
never meant to touch the ground
never breezing past populated areas
always lying low
always hidden from the rest of the world by it's own design

True freedom is what it's inhabitants and creaters wanted.
a city for and of itself a thriving metropolis sustaining itself
or so the legend of Daybreak goes

Part II: World Of Darkness

The outer world has been consumed and corrupted
by an evil which wishes to stamp out all individuality and freedom
an evil that spreads like cancer through force across the globe.
an evil that chokes out all the light.

Members of it's society forced to be a part of a single religion.
and those who worship any other god are forced into ovens or poisioned
any free thinkers are murdered on the spot.

The world is slowly falling back to the time of the dark ages under one monarch.
only two things keep him from winning this world.
a small group of freedom fighters who are just a nuisence to him
and the legend of a city that is lit up by it's own inner light somewhere on the horizon.

Part III: Discovering The Light.

A small company of freedom fighters on the edge of The Great Desert
are camping when they see a large ship flying across the sands toward them.
one of them shouts a comand. "Julius scope that ship for us please, I want size markings and distance." "Yes commander! it is.....holy shit."
"what is it Julius?" "sir it's....twenty miles wide and length looks to be about the same maybe a little over." "Thats nonsense. give me that scope...............he's right!"

"what do you suppose it is sir?" "well there are some letters on the side facing us, D-A-Y-B-R-E-A-K........it can't be"

the entire team comes up and stands looking at the light coming at them a silent murmur of the name Daybreak running through them.

Daybreak is real.

Part IV: Gone Fishing

The group hung in their airship right above where they thought the city will pass.
ten members were in a small basket underneath it with a hook at the end of a long rops and a balloon on top the hook dangled low enough to catch the tallest building in the flying city that was hurtling at them

The city was now a mere just a few seconds away and coming closer the crew in the small dingy were prepared for the impact but still they reeled when it came and one of them almost fell out of the ship.

they cut loose from the large ship fast before it was dragged away with them then they started pulling on the rope slowly inching down into the walls of the city.

The seige of Daybreak had begun.
