A poem about being connected to a lake
Outside the window, from a distance
lies a lake, a beauty, a praise.
    The trees surround its existence
from the ones who stare, amazed.

    Mesmerized by the beauty
of the wild constant waves.
    Memorizing the personality
of how the lake behaves.

Felt on the face when near
sitting on a rock at dawn.
    Wishing to forever be here
then realizing it will soon be gone.

You were my friend for two days
someday I'll come and see you
I know there are many ways
Goodbye Opeongo.
