A short poem
In faith, an alteration of history

Sewing for itself a sharp coat

With high collars, for all weather,

Protection and glare.

In faith, a knife,

Carving and gently cutting

Lines and words into sweet letters

To be read before sleep.

In faith, an education,

Private and strong,

And a re-assurance grounded

And immutable.

But for a bird in the lofty skies

Flying with the wind and ashes

Diving only to feed, nest and rest

Can faith help in its flight?
