A cake's POV of what it sees and how it feels when placed at a table for everyone to eat.
Blow them out, blow them out
Put me on your tongue
Let me melt inside your mouth
Let your taste buds scream and shout
Eat me slowly, take your time
Let the flavour blow your mind.

Where is he? Where is he?
I yearn for his breathe of air
No one wants to touch me until he gets himself a chair
Happy birthday, they sing
Oh so loud and clear
He takes a deep breath and the fire disappears.

Parts of me have left my body
And gone to those around me
The moans and groans; the lick of their lips
Echoes as they devour me.

If I’m not completely eaten
I’ll be thrown away
I’ll crack, I’ll rot, I’ll mold
Until the insects find their way.

Store me now, store me now
Don’t throw me away
Wrap me up in foil, and eat me the next day
Share me around with other people
Tell them how good I taste
The more the merrier, just don’t let me go to waste.
