Love, everlasting
Sometimes I wonder if you cast a spell
It's held me for years
Ever hopeful, ever positive.

So many times I've tried to run
The spell dragging me back
Or maybe it was simply familiarity
The security and love you always offered
The belief in me unbelievable to me.

But I always turn
Returning back to all of those things.
Time, distance never ever seeming to matter.
And there I find the core of me
The one you've fought me all these years to see.

Still, I know what I hope may or may not be.
It matters not.
