A poem about announcing first love; anxieties and the thrills.
Words,
bouncing around in my mind.
Trying to breach locked lips.
Key is gone.
Where?
Need to know.
When eyes meet,
a smile stretches upon lips.
Hearts beat faster.
The key is almost found.
Words are moving faster,
pushing harder against my mind,
and my lips,
and my chest,
and my being.
Harder to breathe.
So addicting,
that feeling.
Can't get enough of it.
The lock weakens,
becoming rusty and unstable.
Your eyes see it breaking.
Fear.
What if?
What if this is ruined?
Will it go away f you know?
Fear rebuilds the lock,
while panic pushes back words.
Calm down.
Lock's tight.
Leaving me in solitude;
me,
and the words,
bouncing around in my mind.
