Written for a friend who was going through a rough time

Life is a journey, and filled with trouble, and adventures
Make sure the road you travel on is solid, and a firm foundation
You will meet many travellers along your roads and paths
Some will stay with you awhile, others just briefly
Continue your walk, don't let any of them hold you back.
There will be obstacles, pits, and traps. Accept help given freely.
Sometimes you won't know which way to turn, ask for help.
There is nothing wrong with being lost, or needing help.
You will backtrack, and make mistakes, but you will learn also.
There is an end to your journey, and there is joy to be found.
Pain, suffering, sickness, and depression will occur,
Do not be disheartened, there is hope around you

Reach out you hand, uplift your voice, and grasp support
Plant your feet, your foundation is the most important part.
With a solid base, you cannot be swept off your feet and fall.
There are shoulders and hands to help you along from friends.
Support in plenty, from those who really are there for you.
Family, friends, and faith, pull all three close around yourself.
Speak and live out the truth, and the truth will be given in return,
Sweep away the darkness and the path forward will be lit.
Do not be afraid, this has been said many times, with reason.
Believe in yourself, and have trust in your foundation to be strong
Lies, illusions, and deceit, all attacks from the darkness.
Stay in the light, and stay true to yourself.
