short poem about war
Hope

Look again to the horizon
Let eye’s observe
Bloody, mangled bodies
Voices unheard
In the throws of death…they weep
Begging for mankind to keep the peace
They give their lives, lost to a sea of blood
In raging battle, misunderstood
It is not for their sake, they undertake,
the burden to claim victory
But for politician’s greed for power
Global scarring with every ticking hour
Nameless, faceless, mindless shells
Stand in solitude within this living hell
Their voices ignored to cease!
There prayers unheard to let all life live battle free
They beg for mercy to let lost dream of peace
Become reality.
