I wrote this feeling trapped one day.
When the light on rose fades
darkness comes out and wants to play.
Sheild your eyes and try not to scream
while you wait and pray it's all a dream.

The violent rush of a starry sky
then the dark arose in the blink of an eye.
The skulls of life lay on the ground
Awaiting the day they'll finally be found.

In this time we walk to hell
God in Heaven I've abandoned my shell.
My soul grows warmer the further I go
the depths of my failures drag me below.

Too much of me is already gone
Nothing can keep me from this path I'm on.
I've got a one-way ticket right to where I belong
Now is the time to pay for all I've done wrong.

For I know my God and his demands
but i fear not the wrath at hand.
He's jealous of this power I control
and we all know that power is the ultimate goal.

There cannot be but one in charge
and far too long I've lived at large.
To believe I've abused the power bestowed upon me
I've confessed my wretched sins unto thee.

But look at you, turning away
I can't be helped no matter how much I pray.
How can you turn your back on my plea?
You're the only one that can set me free.
