Why I will not marry
My wings are stretched I am ready to fly,
I won't be held down--I don't know why.
I soar from the East and I settle in the West,
A life of freedom is what I know best.
Take my hand and look at me,
A life of unity I cannot see.
I was taught that love does not last,
I was taught to fly-fly away fast.
My heart shares love for you to see,
It can't belong to you though--it belongs to me.
Take another as I watch from above,
Because of my restrictions doesn't mean you can't love.
I will smile as the nights turn into days,
I will be glorified in my freedom--freedom in many ways.
Remember me as the sun chases the moon,
The time of your unity is coming soon.
