This is a surreal idea that I had about some vibrant tropical birds.
The Rainbow Bird

The rainbow bird, tall and proud,
each feather steeped in most brilliant hue.

The rainbow bird, standing strong,
lies and hate forgotten in admiration.

The rainbow bird, wonder and awe,
condensed as an exotic memory.

The rainbow bird, as if lines of ink,
slips away into the glimmers of the night

The rainbow bird, fading away,
greying, thinning, disappearing into the light of day.

Winter is near...
