How i felt about most guys at one time until i met this one special one.
I was never the type to fall in love easily
I never paid any one much attention
To me a guy was like a rain drop.
It came and it went.
Another one always sure to replace it
Love was a joke to me
They all said they did,
but did they when they cheated
So i went along with their games
knowing i was nothing more to them
than a raindrop
And they were the same to me
Then one of them came along
I knew he was more than a raindrop
He was the hail that you put in the freezer
and saved and cherished
But I wasn’t smart to see this
So i played the games
trying to wear him down
make him nothing more than another raindrop
It didn’t work because he was more like sleet
I got to him and made him a raindrop
but he would always come back, like my hail
in the freezer
This went on forever, sleet all the time.
Then my hail wasn’t even a raindrop
He was gone.
I realized then i had to stop treating him like sleet
he was different.
He was my hail
And i was ready to be his freezer
Keep him and cherish him.
