"Stay Focused Poetry" is inspiration for believers
Adapted from:
Matthew 25:8
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

I’m coming for my bride
not any specific cultural or religious pride
but I’m coming for my love.

For her the world and the heavens were created.
Her hopes and trust are all in me, and my love
for her is why I’ve delayed it.

I’m coming for my joy, my pleasure
the creation of my delight
patiently awaiting my return and
only in me will she take flight.

There is no husband like the bridegroom
for he cometh in power and truth.
There is no wife like the wise bride.
adorned in the surrender of her youth.

The good don’t know me, the self-righteous
have made their choice but the trusted in
my only son will rise at the sound of my voice.

I’m coming for my bride.
And behold I come quickly.

Watch therefore…

Keep your lamp with oil
so you’ll be ready to meet me.
