A man grasping desperately onto a relationship that never was and never will be.
Reverberating in my head

all these thoughts i thought were dead.

To never have gone to where no man shall go,

to never have strode on blue vertigo.

Where the peaks scrape the heavens

and all's cold under the sun

And all of the creatures

with which you contest

are left below

to contend with the rest.

The grass springs up between my toes

as i stride on down the grassy knoll

And who do i see but the happy three,

delinquent in their throes.

Joyously moving and sumptuously swooning.

A temptress with a mind of desire.

Masquerading as a madman,

When all is said and done.

To never have shown myself

as the man I shall become.

The waves break tenderly against the crisp shores

and the shells of dead critters, they litter the moors.

To never have gone to where no man shall go

and never have lain upon your death row.

And for the time being,

this picture of you

is all I have left,

because we are through.
