Written to vent my feelings and fears at various stages of depression.
MISSING

In fetal pose,
Safe, warm in a corner
Enveloped by shadows
That no one can see
Not even me

No day or night,
Light, never enters here
Black velvet quicksand fog
Draws me more inward,
Deeper than deep

Pray for relief—
What, does no answer come?
Pray for a rescuer—
But does no one hear?
Loneliness enters

Loneliness lies
beside me at midnight
Roots thrust deep with thirsting
Feeds on sighs and tears
‘til
Heart and soul consumed,
I fade into darkness, unseen~~~*
