Ruth St Denis

Oh gypsy moon come out tonight,
And illuminate the earth to give me sight.
For she has come to me in our secret place,
And run and giggle while I toil to keep pace.

My gypsy lover sparkles in the light of her moon,
As my heart springs and skips, and our eyes commune.
Dance for me my gypsy queen; seduce me with your sway.
Hypnotize me with your body so my thoughts may never stray.

Her heart's song is traced by her hands and her hips,
Arching my spirit towards heaven, then downward with a dip.
She twists her loins and taps her feet,
Contorting her body to an unknown beat.

Then her movement comes to a hasty halt; her bewitching song is sung.
Everything frozen in its place, except her panting breath and heaving lungs.
Her seduction is ever thorough, and she owns my heart and soul.
For now I’ve become her bondservant, completely in her control.

Oh, what would I do to feel her skin touch mine, raptured in intimate bliss?
What would I not do to drink her carnal wine, and taste her honeyed kiss?
Be kind to me my gypsy vamp for I am fragile within your clutch.
Glass for an ego with a porcelain heart, living only for your tender touch
