A poem, a creation of love.
Gods of the Storm

I hear the rain falling.
I hear the rivers swell.
The thunder crushes down, the world’s dried well.
You are breathing softly now, you turn and let a sigh
In your sleep I stand and watch you, and there’s a faint smile.

Dark the sky,
The world is black
Spirits fly in the night, screaming in the cloudbank

The hour is passed
In the depths of night
How I wish, how I tried
To keep the dawn from breaking, to hold the storm so tight
To keep you in my bed to hold you as you lied

Dark is the world
The sky is black
I lie down beside you, I touch you in the dark.

The rain is still falling
But my world is gone
Empty was my heart,
lost and taken by the gods of the storm

Then your eyes opened
You looked at me as if you knew
And I had found my heart, and  my world
Deep in your eyes,
In you.
