Just a once beautiful, bright relationship gone sour
Two as None

I hear the pitter-patter, of precious time,
when I was yours and you were mine.
I hear the clock strike two as one,
together forever, what’s done is done.

I hear the time passing, the years go by,
Throughout it we’ve lived, still we try.
Tumbling towards an ideal we’ve cast,
always second best; always finishing last.

Promises unbroken, with a liars stutter,
untruthful mouth, every word you utter.
Lost in a status, misplaced over the years,
disregard the signs and these hurtful tears.

Vowing that love, is all we’ll ever need,
commencing to plant your lying seed.
Shred all your dignity, destroy your pride,
for a position of power, behind you hide.

Stand with pride at who you've become,
a man whose dead and will always be numb.
Decisions you’ve made, will haunt your soul,
two soul's demise, exiting out of control.
