A simple sonnet.
Like these mollifying streams of sapphire
Doth my temperament cease in lethargy
At thy mien, O! how I deeply desire
To embrace thee so very carefully
Substance confer me to bliss so beyond
Methinks I dreamt of this lovely maiden
Bespoke by love, this perpetual bond
Hath fate bequeathed me ironic laden?
Nay I wish to say, vagary I fear
How can such splendor land this way nigh me?
Vis-à-vis likely never, solemn tear
Trickle from that window of soul, thee see
I, but an improvident lover, dare
Hope that you will sempiternally care.
