This is a poem I made about finally letting happiness back into my life. Please enjoy.
The Door

A Poem By Tyler Turner

I thought I could never be

A very different me

I would just sit and wait

Waiting for my own fate

The fate of feeling free

Which I could at last see

I finally went out of my way

And saw what I had missed, day by day

Something that I craved

Even when I behaved

It wasn't love I was looking for

But something behind the dreaded door

The door to my heart

Locked, not very smart

What I needed was the key

Some sort of controversy

Friendship perhaps

No booby-traps

The door was at last ajar

Because I had gone so far

I found what it was that I needed

After the way I have been treated

By my own self

Hurting myself

A thing that was always innate

A thing so simple, yet so great

Happiness
