This poem poses some of my feelings in a long distance relationship. Maybe more to follow
I feel lost in a world inside my mind.
There is love but there is a fear it draws.
I question my emotions.
I feel something,
yet it is unable to be grasped.
Lost in a maze, trying.
Sifting through the feelings,
trying.
A love so far away.
It would have been best if I have never started.
It was begun, the pain worsens over time.
The silence slowly slicing,
The very skin of my heart.
My hope seems to betray me.
The hope to see her just once.
Her face,
her smile,
her laugh.
I need to know,
I need to see,
I need freedom.
In some strange part of my mind
It hopes that she walks away,
leaving me be.
Setting me free
from this pain,
called love.
Yet it is something every man yearns for.
Such an irony.
As the ages grace along,
time passes,
the old and the wise seem to say
It is worth it.
