A poem I felt like writing after watching Patch Adams starring Robin Williams.
I love him without reason
Without uncertainty
Without doubt.

I love not knowing why
Or how
Or when.

I love him for reasons
I’ve yet
To figure out.

I love his eyes
His smile
His voice
His words.

I love him without understanding,
Without comprehension,
Or knowing.

I love him because he’s mine to love,
And because I’m his to love,
Because we’re humans made…
Because we’re meant to love.
