A poem describing a couple's new horizon.
The Moon is no longer able to rise,
He patiently waits for his friend to rise.

A man in shock on a stool sits wide-eyed,
His legs give way after he tries to rise.

The dial tone lingers and then she hangs up,
Avoiding voices that are sure to rise.

She throws in the bread for lunch the next day,
While it is baking she watches it rise.

Knowing her parents are minutes away,
To this occasion he knows he must rise.

Footsteps grow louder right outside their door,
They feel their blood pressure begin to rise.

Afraid of seeing frowns on their faces,
Instead they could see their mouth corners rise.

After, on her button he rest his head,
Anxiously waiting until it would rise.
