Evaluating happiness on a snowy day indoors.
Happiness is temporary;
It never lasts long.
The length may vary
Like the spell of a beautiful song.

Pain erupts more often,
And when we think it gone
it hides;
Within the shadows of healing it bears a disguise.

We wallow and greive,
Reminisce the good and cringe.
There is no evasion,we perceive
The flame of despair begins to singe.

We smile and pretend,
Show no affliction.
When the doors close behind
we break into a state of lamentation.

Dried tears on your face
You sigh with fatigue;
Grip the covers in tight embrace,
Hoping to wake without misery.
