A verse I wrote for one of my songs.
Her brown eyes were blood shot with lies.
She treasured all her time fighting for the night.
Her beauty was lit by the moonlight,
Her vision, shadowed from her heart's strife.

She never knew love, she knew love's geist.
Searching with her mind, never finding right.
Left by the stars, shining a false light.
Her path lost, but the moon showed truths fight.

Her father wasn't there, her mother never cared.
Too much a burden to bare, she began to cut and stare.
Into the heavens above, in hopes of finding love.
She was stuck in a dream, she was stuck in between.
But then she realized, when she said goodbye she sealed her fate.

If you had the chance, would you change a thing? Or sit back and let your pain win?
