poem I wrote after visiting my mom on mothers day
The stars aligned as music played
The perfect time the perfect day
Honor one who’s gone away
Just in time for mother’s day

Last year I gave her jewels and petals
This year I lay them in the pebbles
talking to the desolate stone
Sinking in the grass alone

Say good by and walk away
Left a poem on the grave
All my words spilled on the page
Just for her on mothers day.
