This was written for someone I used to know, and love.
How far does your little boat go?
Does it travel by motor or do you row?
I could swim out to you
But I don’t float
I just sink
Into the drink
So, I’ll stay on dry land
Stranded on the strand
With my wet hair
And feet
Lather, rinse, repeat
Can you hear me being quiet as a mouse?
Do you see the light from my lighthouse?
