For my friend who needs my help.
You're eyes are red.
Wet trails down your cheeks.                    I am
afraid; you've never been like this.
Standing in the door, waiting                    here for
what seemed hours.
Arms around waist,
chin on head.
This moment seems to go on forever.
Your voice cracks as you
ask me that question.
All I can do is answer with
I am here for                              you.
