Broken by addiction
A lost child in hiding
From truth she once sought
And the love she was taught
When in peace, was abiding.

Avoidance of purpose
Breeds wandering, squandering,
Timeless hours to fill
With diversions, perversions.

She's watchful for thorns
Yet numbness afflicts her
As flames of Hell lick her
With her pitchfork and horns.

How will she fare
In her haze of dead friends?
In her maze of dead ends,
Will God, her soul spare?
