This is a poem I wrote about the limits of civilization.
Limitations

Slimed avenues at ends to another
beneath embarrassing light sky
of revelation          of mud

Scorned droplets so high
up
faster                farther
than the scope of time

like stars at the speed of light

and the whole sopping wasted
worlds of men forever under
the power of gravity
