why is it we can't work together?
She's left in the dark,
Cold and alone.

All her friends left her to die by herself.

Her life is nothing now,
Thanks to them.

She's given up long ago.

Yet she forces herself to awaken everyday.
She's ready to die,
Waiting for it really.

Nobody notices her self-mutilation.

She cries herself to sleep each and every night.

Eating is a sin in her mind,
A deadly one at that.

She's waiting for death,
She has been for months.

You may be thinking,
"Who is this she?"

She's the one with the pencil at hand,
The paper beneath,
She's the one who is dying.
Slowly but surely.

She is I
As I am She,
You are You,
And We are We.

But why can't we be a better society?

Why must we be so cruel to the outcasts,
Such as me?
