having to deal with a hostile boyfriend
I don't even know you anymore,
You promise me I'm the one you adore,
You're the shell of the man I used to love?
why is it you're floating away like a dove?

You come in with no explanation to where you've been,
And when I ask, you look at me like it was a sin,
I'm left with the impression I've done something wrong,
Why have you been so hostile for so long?

I wake up in the morning and you're not here,
Its all i can do not to break down in tears,
You've left for the day and im stuck alone,
It especially hurts when I call and you don't pick up the phone.

My love is unconditional, can't you see?
I guess everything comes with a hefty fee,
When I look into your eyes, all I see is ice,
Every time I tell you I love you, I roll the dice.

I give up, you've left me drained,
Will I ever get over this pain?
I gave you everything there is to give,
Some day, I will get over it and learn how to live.
