This is a poem about the beginning of spring. Nature comes alive after a long winter.
As I first awakened, early this morning,
I layed still upon my bed.
I listened to the songs I heard
Outside my window.

The black birds where doing their loud and demanding songs.
The smaller birds were singing their
little chirping tunes.

Away in the distance I heard two crows
loudly cawing to one another.
What a boastful song.

Wait! Now I hear a new beautiful melody.
Could it be our first Robins of the year?

All the other birds quiet thier song.
They too, listened as I have.
Could it be the first sign of Spring?
The reawakening and beauty of new life?

I think it was the first sign of the
New beginning of this year as God intended.

The song of the birds,
The wamer air,
Then the colors of the season come alive!

The leaves and grasses become green,
The beautiful colorful flowers,
begin to burst into bloom,
The sun is warmer and brighter too.

It is like the awakening of the beauty within us,
just waiting to bloom.
We become happier,
more colorful with the cloths we wear
plus we seem to have renewed energey.
Now we ready for our reawakening....our new beginning{/center}!
