A poem about denial and suicide.
Darkness soaks into the sky;
Every star like a bullet hole
I can see them festering,
(I can see them bleeding)

Your words leave a chill in the air;
I can feel it clinging
Echoes haunting me,
I can hear you singing...

Words distort and reshape;
Prolonging my suffering
Shivering in the cold;
I only wish to wake
Please tell me that I am dreaming

Ice crystals crown your gravestone
I promise, my tears will dry
I will take another sleeping pill,
I will cry another night

My mind deceives me;
It forces me to deny
It tells me that I am simply dreaming,
And I shall wake to the morning light

Please tell me that this is a nightmare;
That the pills have distorted my mind
Please tell me that I will wake soon,
That I will see you alive

Please tell me that you are okay,
That you didn't result to suicide
Please tell me that I don't see you bleeding;
Don't tell me a lie...
