Please leave your comments about my poem so that I may be better in the future.
They stand back to back .
Side to side.
They have no faces.
They have no names.
They are the forgotten.

They stand in lines a hundred yards long.
A hundred yards wide.
They have no homes.
No place to freely roam.
They are the forgotten.

They stand still like statues.
They stand unlike normal people.
They hold no shame.
They hold no regrets.
They are the forgotten.

They fought in wars both great and small.
They died at no cost of their own.
Some are mothers.
Others are no different from us.
They are the forgotten.

One day.
Hopefully not very soon.
Just out of the blue.
I too will be one of the forgotten.
Just like you.
