A poem wrtten for an advance poetry class in college.
Red bras dye white boxers,
a woman bleeds into a man.
A washer trhusts foward
and shimmies back.
Spin and rinse down out voices.
White sea foam and water
collide and slosh again the metal walls.
Iron mixes with saliva.
Clothes piled and sprawled
curled in a ball
duped in a well.

Wet blue jeans yanked from the basin
and hurled into the steam.
The dryer door slams
and everything begins to spin.
Buttons scape along
the glass door,
pant legs choke turlenecks.
Dry clothes shoved into bags,
trapped in drawers.
