A close follower of Apollo undergoes a change of heart, leaving him in disdain.
For he who shines his light upon those who praise thee',
One in particular he favors among the rest,
For she is fair in all ways imaginable,
A beautiful mortal beyond all the rest,
Despite her beauty, however, her gifts are what struck his heart,
Greater than the fury of Zeus, beyond that of his previous lovers,

But one day, he noticed the pyre was unlit,
Unattended and uncared for,
Perplexed, he called her name with the help of Aeros to carry his message,
Nevertheless, his efforts went in vain,
For the light that once shined—shines no more,
As the follower prayed elsewhere, leaving nothing but a sweet wisp,
Desirable as ever, no immortal could subject oneself onto such,

Absolute as he was, Greece lost its light for some time,
Overshadowed by his twin, she bestowed the heavens with her illuminate reflection,

Nevermore, nevermore,
Sweet prayers nevermore!
