Inspired by more of the same old story...
I've seen a million of you come
And go
A never-ending ebb
And flow
Of
I love you
And
I found somebody else

Don't tell me about
The gravity
That pulls you away
The shape, the size,
The feel...
Her eyes.

None of that consoles me:

The inconsolable,
The un-satiated
The uncharted, mysterious shores.
I'd keep you to myself
You, my stranded warriors

Mine to feed, mine to nurse
Mine to save.

I bring you back to life
And all you do is leave.
