Pomplemousse went for a walk. Pomplemousse enjoyed his walk, particularly when he ran into his friend Graham.
"Hi, Pomplemousse."
Pomplemousse said nothing; there was nothing to say.
"Err, so how are you?"
Again, he said nothing. He felt as if he didn't even know Graham any more.
"Whatever..."
Graham left.
Pomplemousse was alone.
Again.
He had no one.
