What happens to the story teller once the story's finished?

Once upon a time;
Fairytales tend to start with this.
Thick storybooks of rhyme,
Full of secret lands shrouded in mist.

Once upon a land,
Grassy hills and plains.
Warm beaches full of sand,
No busy traffic lanes.

Once upon a song,
Notes soaring high.
Fluttering in that vast region,
Somewhere between land and sky.

Once upon a lullaby,
Whispered quietly to a baby,
Words fluttering like lyrics,
Off the tongue of a loving lady.

Once upon a once upon,
A little girl asks;
Who saves the storyteller
Once she's done with her task?
