a rought draft, if you will, for "Bridge to Home"

The Bridge Home

Toil now behind her
On this gentle rising bridge,
That spans the diamond jealous ocean.
The crescendo her only goal.

At last! The peak! An avian delight!
Her eyes dancing with the sea.
Her pinnacle finally reached.

Then downward ever softly
With great blue heron as her guide.
Off this gentle rising bridge,
Longing now for home.
