Is innocence really bliss, or is it only present to the beholder?
Innocence is bliss?

Uncountable times when precious tears escape,

Resonating words that leave perpetual meaning;

The innocent wins, how wretched.

There is bliss in virtue but it tends to smolder,

An unintelligent plague adds shadows to a black room.

Unknown affliction leaves a dark footprint.

A damsel in distress, how elegant an appearance,

To cloud the minds of sinners who stroke the surface.

A punishment for the clever.

Or is it that the innocent are the cleverest of them all?
