the wondering s of where we are going ,,,
If a man spends enough time alone
Will he find the answers he’s searching for
Must he look deep with in his mortal soul
Or is he missing something so much more
If he looks far from where he is
Will a lie some how become the truth
So If he starts chasing younger dreams
Will it bring back any part of his youth
Created in the image of god
or at least that’s what we’re told
Nothing these days is ever good enough
Still reaching for that endless pot of gold
Why is it so hard to take life for what it is
Why can’t it be just like when we were kids
I’m some where between evergreen and dust in the wind
Hoping perhaps maybe some day I can smile
And look back on my life and say look where I’ve been
So many years behind me
And hoping for so many more to go
Will I get the chances I wish for that drive me
For This in it self I will never know
True as the world changes around me
I will walk my path laid out before my feet
And hope I never taste the bitterness
That others have shown of jealousy and greed
In which the legacy I leave behind me
Is no more lesser or greater than the life I truly lead
