something we've all experienced feeling scared in the middle of the night hearing a noise
Shadows sway

And moonlight lays

In the middle of the night

The quiet seems

Unnatural

In the absence of the light

A breeze as soft

As whispers

Surrounds the night-time

Air

The feeling eyes are stalking you

Though none are ever there

The same old sounds of night time

You've ehard them all before

Become so unfamiliar now

The creaking of the floor

You're sure its never done that

Creaked all by itself

Only when it's stepped upon

You quickly hold your breath

You close your eyes so tightly

Try to pinch yourself awake

But you know this isn't dreaming

Your teeth begin to ache

Knuckles white from clenching

The fear invades your soul

Realize that someone is inside

Some that you don't know!
