Just rainy day thoughts of an old kazoo maker.
I often ponder best on rainy days.
Both in early mornings
in late afternoons
in calm evening light.

Tis rainy days that shine the most,
even beneath a grey covered sky.
For special unexpected reflection
is found the truest understanding.

Today beneath this soft spring rain,
my thoughts are unbound
as a bow on Christmas package
that reveals the present within.

No longer a young student learning,
in deepest love with passions of youth.
A traveler in search of knowledge
that place unknown to compass or chart.

Lost in a sea discovery each day new,
more discoveries that point the way.
Yet still no course to detect,
no right nor wrong course.

Today beneath a gentle rain I ponder,
awaiting fields to fill with wildflowers.
From seeds caste freely in autum wind,
drawing life from the mist of spring.
