this is a poem that iwrote for my bestest friend tasha dori massengale
I remember how we met, you were new in the class.
I wanted a new friend, Jacob was a pain in my ass.
I never figured we'd last this long.
But apparently we did, so I guess, I was wrong.
You've been there for me through every tear I cried,
You always knew if I was okayy, even when I lied.
I always told you everything, other people would hate to hear.
If only I could thank you for every single tear.
Any boy can get mad that you come first, hoes over bros, right?
I love how when we get mad, it doesn't last long, not like a normal fight.
You've seen me break down, and I helped you stay alive.
I'm so glad you didn't pick up that knife.
If I hadn't met you my life would be a mess.
I've never kept anything from you, I couldn't trust you any less.
Without you I don't know if I would still be here.
Before you came, my life was unclear.
You're my best friend, and that will never change.
How close we are today is actually quite strange.
You know my life story, and that's a pretty big deal.
If there's one thing I always tell you it's how I truly feel.
With you, I've never lied or been fake.
Learning to trust you was the biggest risk I had to take.
We're bitches in crime, sisters at heart.
I'll always love you no matter how far we're apart.
We're best friends for life noting can get in the way.
If someone tries to change that, they'll hear just what I have to say.
The memories we have are absolutely priceless.
I just am grateful that you still love me after you've seen my life as a mess.
