A small piece about being wowed by ebb and flow of nature.
Woke up to see the world turn brown
Natures bloom when the white caps melt
Trees are bare and flowers aren't there
No way to describe just how I felt
It wasn't an overwhelming desire
I didn't feel wise and old and tired
Truth is Im to young to retire.
I wasn't shaken or awestruck
I was just happy because I realized
that being alive is just dumb luck

Have my day planned
Had it laid out the night before
Few things changed but I'm not one to cry
Even if it gets flipped upside down
everything will still be alright
Child's wonder in my heart today
First thing that comes to my head is the things I say
Been three months since Ive seen the world this way

The creek may be rising but I'm not scared
No real danger that I haven't fared
The snow disappears as the day grows hotter
Pretty soon I will be
Walking on water

The water came and now its on the recede
Mud washed up but it carried away the weeds
Got no driveway to lead me from my house to the road
I guess life's just not about being shown where to go
The suns still shining oh so bright
The clouds were oh so thick
But then they cleared and now its oh so light
Its all more beautiful to me now then it was before
You could call it devastation but that wouldn't be right
Its just something your not used to
Just a little more work that you got to do
No reason to cry
It'll all be over soon

Wondering if this weather ever going to quit
I sure hope not because life's more exciting living in it
A slight thrill is what everyone needs
A bit of dangers good so long as it doesn't bring you to your knees
If you're not careful
Life will get mundane
It'll leave you bored with yourself and nothing to say
So when the storm clouds come don't you be scared
Take the opportunity of new freedom to be shared
I couldn't tell you what this is all about
Might just take it in stride if you have no doubts
Oh don't you worry oh don't you fret
Its done for now but it's not over yet

The creek may have risen but I'm not scared
No real danger that I haven't fared
The snow disappears as the day grows hotter
The rain came and to build it up farther
My favorite days are the ones where I'm
Walking on water
