Are adults always more mature than adolescents?
The Tribal Adult

She was a lady of integrity
Yet encountered much hostility
Behind her back the ladies grinned
And tried to get beneath her skin

A single mom all on her own
And after work she worked at home
She spent the evening with her kids
Read them a story then called it quits

But it mattered not to the social elite
Who after work made a hasty retreat
In the local bars, they would correspond
And malign those whom did them wrong

The supervisor was always there
Courting praise from everywhere
Except from the lady with three mouths to feed
She was at home tending other needs

Eddie flattered with full intent
Because of his incompetents
And it payed off on promotion day
Eddie moved up and got more pay

Sometimes kids  push others out
Sometimes a ring-leader has too much clout
Finding someone whom they despise
They think of ways to gouge their eyes

But are we adults  much more wise
To find someone to brutalize ?
Think how our world could be
With a little more maturity
